The Hoard Keeper is a black dragon that floats off the edge of your bookshelf and breathes a glowing column of fire down onto your books.

It doesn't sit on the shelf and it doesn't take up a slot. The flame base rests on the shelf, the fire column slides down between two book spines, and the dragon hangs out past the front edge with nothing underneath it. That gap is the whole point. It's the first thing anyone notices, and the first thing they ask about.

Then the sun goes down, you switch it on, and the flame lights up from the inside. Somewhere between shelf decor and a reading lamp.

Made for a romantasy shelf. Black dragon, ribbed wings, molten orange fire. It was built to live next to Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and a wall of Sarah J. Maas, which is exactly where every photo here was taken.

Setup takes about two minutes, with no tools.

1. Pick a shelf with a little clear space in front of the books.
2. Stand the flame base on the shelf and slide the fire column down between two book spines.
3. Push the books gently back together so they hold the column in place.
4. Sit the dragon on top of the column. That's it.

It works best on a shelf packed tight enough that the books stay put, which is most romantasy shelves.
